Note: An asterisk (*) indicates candidates that have withdrawn from the race. Primary vote totals are based on results from New Hampshire, Delaware, Michigan and Washington for both parties, and South Carolina, Arizona and Virginia for the Republicans only. All the Republican primaries allocated delegates. Only the Democratic primary in New Hampshire did so. The other Democratic primaries were non-binding "beauty contests." An "Uncommitted" line received the most votes in the Michigan Democratic primary, as neither Bradley or Gore competed there. The primary vote totals reflect official results from contests held through Feb. 19; unofficial results are used for primaries since then and reflect totals as of March 5. Delegate totals are from primaries and caucuses where delegates have been allocated.
